Why do you charge £25 to transfer a
domain name to your servers but only
charge £30 to register a new .uk domain?

As with all our charges the costs reflect the amount of time and resources it takes us to setup and maintain the services we provide for you.

New domain name registrations can be very automated and are therefore quick to process and complete.

Domain transfers have to be done manually and as such take about 5 times longer to complete and check. They are also much more prone to delays in the transfer from the other ISP so again take up more time.

Please note we do not charge for transferring a domain name to another ISP although the company you are transferring to may well make a charge to setup your records!
