Changing your email address in
Microsoft Outlook Express

To change your address to allow you to send mail as you@your-domain-name.com follow the instructions below. If you are using an email program other than Microsoft Outlook Express please see here.

Microsoft Outlook Express  (versions 4.x and 5.x)

Once Outlook Express is loaded - select "Tools" from the top menu. Then choose Accounts" and then select the "Mail" tab. This will show a list of your current email profiles - select the one you use and click "Properties". You will see a screen like this:

Outgoing email address at your existing ISP.

You need to modify the "E-mail Address" field so it will look like:

Outgoing email address at your own domain.

If the reply to address is already filled in either blank it out or put the same addresss as the email address. If left blank Microsoft Outlook Express assumes the reply to address is the same as the email address.
