Now we have moved premises we have taken the opportunity to install an additional high speed fibre link. But... not wishing to do things by half we have "doubled" the speed of
our current connections to cope with continued rapid expansion of our services over the the next 6-12 months.We would also like to take the opportunity to apologise to some customers who experienced slower performance at
peak periods over the last 24-36 hours. Due to routing problems from our existing backbone provider we accelerated the transfer over to the new comms link but unfortunately it meant we were forced to use a backup link that was not as
high capacity!
The new link gives us a direct connection into the UUnet / Worldcom backbone giving us both twice the available bandwidth and better resilience / connectivity to the Internet (more details to follow shortly!).
