Step 1
Only the central registrar (Nominet)
can make this type of change.
You will need to complete a registrant change form which needs
to be signed by the current registrant and the new registrant
- both parties will also need to send a letter of confirmation
to Nominet.
The transfer form is included with the original registration
certificate - if you do not have one of these you will need
to contact Nominet directly to request the form.
For full details you will need to go to:
http://www.nominet.org.uk/registrants/maintain/transfer/
Nominet charge a £10 + VAT administration
fee for these changes. We have no control over these
changes and you will
need to deal directly with Nominet.
Note: You cannot change the registrant of a .ltd.uk or .plc.uk
domain as these already have to exactly match the Limited /
Public Limited Company they were registered for.
Step 2
You can verify once a transfer request
have been completed by viewing our online WHOIS
database record for your domain name.
We cannot process or discuss domain name changes over the
telephone - for this type of change you should speak direct
to Nominet but if you have any other questions please use
our contact
form.
