Overview of each package
Web Forwarding (Included in Email Hosting)
This service simply forwards your website
name (www.yourdomain.com) to another set of webspace, for example
another website you have with us or with another provider such
as some free webspace with your broadband
provider
(www.your-isp.com/your-company).
This is normally used when
you have multiple domain names and a single website. This is
particularly useful if you register
the .com and .co.uk variations of your domain name and wish
to redirect one to the hosting on the other.
Email Hosting
The email hosting package includes the web
forwarding service detailed above and an email service suitable
for an individual trader or a small to medium company.
The package
has 10 mailboxes which can be configured or amended via the
control panel at
any time using the administrator account. Each mailbox can
receive as many email addresses as you like at
your domain.
For example you could have a member of staff
who deals with sales for your company, you could configure
their
account to receive sales@yourdomain.com and first.lastname@yourdomain.com.
Each mailbox has spam and virus filtering
applied to incoming emails and those emails can be collected
using the Webmail portal accessible from any computer or using
an email program such as Outlook, Outlook Express or any other
email program that supports POP3 collection.
Web / Email Hosting
The standard web and email hosting package
is again designed for an individual trader or a small to medium
company and will provide hosting for a company
website and an email service for the members
of staff.
The web hosting will allow you to publish
a website that contains as little as a single page that
just includes your company logo, contact details and a brief
introduction
to your
company, even a small web presence can attract
business that you may have not got without it.
However, if you want to expand your company
onto the Internet or maybe even trade solely on the Internet
this package has the flexibility to support the requirements
to do that
such
as having dynamic order forms
and shopping
baskets or in the case where you sell a large number
of varying products you could use a database driven website
so people could search your products based on the keywords
of items they are looking for, the options are endless.
