Transferring a domain name to GetOnline

If you wish to use the services that GetOnline provide you will need to transfer your domain name to us, there are a few different ways of doing this:

Administrative / Full Transfer

This is where you transfer administrative control of your domain to us so that we can fully manage it for you including:

• Domain Name Renewal
• DNS Hosting
• Domain Name Management

We will be the sole point of authority for your domain name and this ensures that your domain name is secure.

DNS Only Transfer

A DNS transfer is where you manage the administration and billing for the domain name yourself or with another ISP but the domain name resides on our DNS servers so that you can take advantage of our web and email hosting or to use our DNS hosting service.

Host Only

If you wish to host your website and/or email with GetOnline but not transfer control or DNS servers to us you can simply point the DNS records to our servers from where it is currently managed.

Note: If you are using GetOnline to host your website and email or DNS records we recommend that you fully transfer the domain name to our control, this ensures that if any changes are required or if you have any problems you only need to contact us rather than you trying to deal with seperate companies for different aspects of your domain name.
